Mead O’Brien Acquires Ulmer Equipment Company bolstering position in the Water Industry
Mead O’Brien, Inc. headquartered in North Kansas City, MO is pleased to announce the acquisition of the operations and substantial assets of Ulmer Equipment Company, Inc. of Fenton, MO. The acquisition expands Mead O'Brien’s offering in valves and related equipment to the Water and Wastewater industry sector in the Midwest region. Ulmer Equipment Company is a manufacturer’s representative and distributor of AWWA and industrial valves and accessories. Established by Blaine Ulmer in 1956, the company grew in both size and reputation in the states of Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois. John Moore stated, “Starting a new chapter now as part of Mead O’Brien is the best outcome for our company and employees as we now have a much more complete product offering for the industry and the ability to competitively automate and provide field service for the products we represent”. Moore will participate in the transition as operations and employees will be moved to the Mead O’Brien St. Louis office, warehouse, and service center.
